WSI Oak Ridge Honored by TVBA

WSI Oak Ridge is proud that nearly 50 percent of its workforce has served the country.

WSI Oak Ridge is proud that nearly 50 percent of its workforce served our country.

“The TVBA takes pleasure in presenting our first annual “Veterans Work” award to WSI Oak Ridge,” said TVBA Founder and Chairman Jonathan Williams. “This award is presented to a company that demonstrates veteran small business initiatives and makes a concerted effort to hire veterans. WSI Oak Ridge is very deserving of this award.”

WSI Oak Ridge has previously been recognized with several awards from the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR,) and received its highest honor, the Pro Patria Award.

TVBA provides entrepreneurship training, business development assistance, and networking opportunities to military veterans and their families. It also provides assistance in finding rewarding employment to all veterans, and supports the work of both public and private sector organizations who offer charitable support to current service members and veterans.

WSI Oak Ridge and its approximately 1000 employees provide para-military protective forces for the Oak Ridge Reservation which includes the Oak Ridge National Laboratory, the East Tennessee Technology Park, the Federal Office Building Complex and the Y-12 National Security Complex.
