NOW 2024 Students
NOW is FREE for Students, Interns, and Postdocs
The East Tennessee Economic Council invites all students, interns, and postdocs to attend our 6th Annual Nuclear Opportunities Workshop (NOW Conference) on July 30-31, 2024, at the Hilton Knoxville Airport for FREE.
About: The NOW Conference is a 2-day event offering both public and private nuclear industry professionals and students a place to learn about industry developments, business opportunities, and advancements in research and technologies. You are welcome to attend any portion of the conference and/or the Atomic After Party Reception (held on July 30).
Connect: You’ll have the opportunity to network with professionals in the nuclear industry, potential employers, peers, build important connections for your future, and learn about options for careers in all aspects of the nuclear industry.
This year we are adding 2 new features. One is a scavenger hunt that will help students connect and engage with our 40+ supporters and academic partners. The other is a dedicated student hospitality room that everyone will have access to.
Participate:
- Stop by at any time during the day to listen to the content (multiple keynotes and fireside chats as well as 7 panel discussions on key nuclear industry topics)
- Interact with 40+ exhibitors
- Participate in a scavenger hunt for a small prize
- Hang out in the student hospitality room (open to all conference attendees)
- Network with professionals and fellow students
- Receive one complimentary head shot taken by a professional photographer
- Eat lunch with fellow students and professionals.
Register: If you plan to attend, even just for lunch or to walk around the exhibit area, you need to register at https://bit.ly/Register-NOW24 and choose ‘NOW Student Registration’. (This option will also allow you to RSVP for the Atomic After Party Reception to be held on Tuesday, July 30, 5:30-7:30 pm at the Hilton).
If you ONLY want to attend the Atomic After Party Reception (and not the conference) please choose ‘Atomic After Party Reception ONLY’. I.D.s are required for alcoholic beverages at the reception.
Notes: Qualified students should have one of the following: a student I.D., an email address with an academic institution, proof of internship at a local facility/company, or a post-doctoral position at a national laboratory or through the ORISE system.
