Applications for the Industrial Engineering Cohort Masters are being accepted immediately.
The cohort program began in 2011 when UT Industrial and Systems Engineering Department responded to the unique needs of the non-traditional student. Seeking to redesign the structure of the traditional college experience and better understand the need, the cohort program was designed to accommodate the non-traditional student while creating value to their organization. For companies it makes sense that employees excel in a field they are already working in by utilizing the project-based assignments to show immediate ROI on the educational investment of the employer to employee. The organization benefits almost immediately because the project based learning structure has a direct value cost saving metric attached to it.
This is a 2-year program. They have graduated five cohorts and the sixth cohort will graduate fall of 2017.
The new Cohort will be starting for the spring semester of 2017 on January 13, 2017 in Oak Ridge, TN, most likely in the UT Outreach Center. The class meets once each week on Fridays.
