Tennessee’s new commissioner of Economic and Community Development, Bill Hagerty, hosts economic roundtable.
An economic roundtable brought together a mix of regional agencies and businesses at the Blount County Chamber of Commerce.
Bill Hagerty, who has been on the job barely five weeks, wanted to host the meeting and ask two important questions:
— What are the unique assets and improvement opportunities in your region?
— How do we align efforts?
Among those in attendance were representatives from Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Royal Metal Powders, DCS Electronics, East Tennessee Economic Council, Workforce Investment Board, Tennessee Department of Transportation, Knoxville Chamber of Commerce, Pellissippi State Community College, University of Tennessee, DENSO Manufacturing, Innovation Valley, East Tennessee Economic Development Agency and the Blount Partnership.
