Green_Solar_HomeHouse Republicans want the Treasury Department official who had reservations about the $535 million loan guarantee to failed solar panel company Solyndra to appear before a House Energy and Commerce panel.

The committee lists two witnesses for Friday’s hearing on federal aid to Solyndra: Gary Burner, the chief financial officer for Treasury’s Federal Financing Bank that provided the loan that the Energy Department was backing up; and Gary Grippo, Treasury’s deputy assistant secretary for fiscal operations and policy.

Burner warned DOE earlier this year that it should consult the Justice Department (DOJ) before restructuring the loan guarantee.

Treasury is still working out which witness will appear Friday, the department said.
