EnergX_LogoEnergX, LLC announced the appointment of veteran Oak Ridge National Laboratory executive Sherrell Greene as Vice President of Consulting Services.

For the past 33 years, Mr. Greene held senior executive posts for Oak Ridge National Laboratory. From 2004 to 2010, Greene served as Director for Nuclear Technology Programs. Under his leadership, ORNL’s nuclear energy R&D program portfolio grew to an annual budget exceeding $100 million, supporting fourteen different offices with the DOE, NRC, NASA, and NNSA, as well as numerous commercial companies. For the past two years, Mr. Greene served as Director of Research Reactor Development Programs.

Mr. Greene holds both B.S. and M.S. degrees in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Tennessee. He is a recognized expert in nuclear reactor safety, nuclear fuel cycle technologies, and advanced reactor concept development. His ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to the general public has been honed through numerous interviews and interactions with prestigious news organizations such as National Public Radio, Popular Science, Japan’s NHK television network, and a number of other national and international media outlets.
