Gov. Lee’s Economic Recovery Group is inviting Tennessee employers—with 250+ employees—to request pop-up testing events.
The State of Tennessee invites employers, especially larger industries like manufacturing to work with themto coordinate pop-up testing events for employees who are returning to work. The Unified-Command Group stands ready to assist employers who would like to explore this option and provide testing for employees.
Gov. Bill Lee established the Economic Recovery Group (ERG) in April 2020, a public-private partnership that will prioritize connection, collaboration, and communication across industries, the medical community and state government to safely reboot Tennessee’s economy. The group is led by the Tennessee Department of Tourism Development Commissioner Mark Ezell with Sammie Arnold of the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development serving as Chief of Staff.
Working with the state’s departments of tourism, economic development, and revenue, members of the Tennessee General Assembly, and business leaders, ERG crafted specific industry guidance to safely reboot our state’s economy. The Tennessee Pledge is a careful, measured approach to get our state working in a way that does not depend on heavy-handed mandates but instead works hand in hand with businesses of all sizes. As businesses take the Tennessee Pledge, they are creating a safe environment for employees and customers.
