Oak Ridge National Laboratory, a partner of IACMI-The Composites Institute, announces licensing opportunity to produce low-cost carbon fiber technology. The new method, developed at DOE’s Carbon Fiber Technology Facility at ORNL, is up to 50% more cost effective than traditional methods. Partners selected to commercialize this process will have access to the Carbon Fiber Technology Facility and expertise at ORNL to ensure production optimization and success in the marketplace. Review additional details in the announcement on FBO.GOV or on the ORNL website.
Licensing applications from companies committed to manufacture in the United States will be accepted by the ORNL Technology Transfer Office until May 15, 2016.
