Source: Nuclear Matters
Nuclear Matters is a national coalition of advocates across the country that works to inform the public and policymakers about the clear benefits of nuclear energy – America’s largest and most reliable source of carbon-free electricity.
On Friday, April 30, 2021, Devyn McDonald, director, and Dan Smith, senior associate director for
Nuclear Matters spoke to ETEC regarding their mission and goals for the U.S. and Tennessee.
One of their primary goals in Tennessee – and across the country – is to coalesce pockets of support for nuclear energy to advocate for the existing fleet and condition the environment for advanced deployment.
As leaders at the federal and state levels move forward with bold energy and climate agendas, they want to work with like-minded people to ensure nuclear energy continues to play a pivotal role in building the energy system of tomorrow.
