Nissan wants to establish a solar-assisted charging station in Franklin, Tennessee.
As a sign of Nissan’s commitment to electric vehicles, the automaker wants to construct a solar-assisted auto charging station at its Nissan Americas headquarters in Franklin, Tennessee. The proposed structure would be 300-square-feet and accommodate 18 electric vehicles, using a solar panel array to help offset the power demand required to charge the batteries. Electric charging stations are currently available at the headquarters, but none incorporate solar power.
