New faces in new positions at WSI-Oak Ridge.
John Garrity was recently named Deputy Director of Protective Force Operations at the Y-12 National Security Complex for WSI Oak Ridge.
He has 24 years active duty service as a US Army Military Police Officer. Garrity’s last assignment was Commander, 16th Military Police Brigade (Airborne) and Director of Emergency Services at Fort Bragg, NC. He also served our country in Iraq, Afghanistan and Guantanamo Bay and received many awards including the Bronze Star Medal.
He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Zoology from the University of Vermont and a Master’s Degree in National Security and Strategic Studies from the US Naval War College.
Garrity and his wife, Pam, live in Farragut with their son, Matthew, who is a freshman at Knoxville Catholic High School.
Todd Potts recently joined WSI Oak Ridge as Director of Safety and Performance Assurance.
Prior to joining the company he served as Environmental, Health, Safety, Quality and Security Director for Commercial Projects at EnergySolutions, LLC in Oak Ridge. Before joining EnergySolutions, Potts also held positions at StrataG, Skanska USA, WESKEM, LLC and PRSM Corporation.
Potts is an active member of the American Society of Safety Engineers and the Energy Capital Chapter of Toastmasters. He received the WESKEM, LLC President’s Award as well as other professional awards.
Potts earned an Associate’s Degree in Environmental Technology and Safety from Pellissippi State in Knoxville, and both Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Occupational Safety and Health Engineering and from Columbia Southern University in Orange Beach, AL.
He lives in Knoxville.
