Management Solutions, LLC has opened an office in Washington, D.C. and is ramping up its employee recruitment efforts at its Knoxville-based headquarters.
“When we started the company in 2002, we were focused solely on our work in the southeast,” said Misty Mayes, the company’s founder and president. “Now, we’re replicating the same level of excellent service that we’ve delivered regionally for nearly 15 years to the Department of Energy, the Department of Defense and others here in the region, to customers nationwide.”
Over the past few years, the company also has diversified into health care, other areas of the federal government and into a variety of commercial industries.
To lead its efforts in D.C., the project management company, has hired Michael Agrillo, as Chief Strategic Officer and Director of the Washington, D.C. office. A successful entrepreneur, Agrillo has a strong history of leading and growing small businesses and working with the federal government. Agrillo is an attorney by study and graduate of Harvard University.
The company has already been recognized for its accomplishments on a national level as the U.S. Small Business Administration’s 2012 Subcontractor of the Year and in 2014 and 2015, as the U.S. Chamber’s Blue Ribbon Award recipient.
Along with growth in new business comes growth in employment. In fact, Management Solutions has hired eight new employees over the past three months and expects to add at least three new professionals to its team each month, which will enable the company to double in size by the end of the year.
