Scott Heefner has joined Information International Associates (IIa), as a Senior Vice President and Director of National Capital Region Operations. IIa was founded in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, in 1988 and maintains its headquarters there, but is expanding its Capital Region presence to better serve federal customers located in or near Washington, DC.
Heefner has over 35 years of experience as an engineering and management consultant in the government services, commercial, and international markets. Prior to joining IIa, he worked at TASC, Inc., where he served in several capacities, including Vice President of the Financial & Business Analytics Business (FBA) Unit and leader of the FBA Center of Excellence. In that role, he oversaw operations, growth, and business development by providing cost estimating and analysis, financial management, and business improvement and transformation advice. At IIa, Heefner initially will focus on contract performance and customer relationships in the National Capital Region. He will also play a key role in business development with the large concentration of government requirements generated in the Washington DC area.
Heefner earned a Bachelor’s of Civil Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Master of Science in engineering at Utah State University. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in eight jurisdictions. He is active in various professional trade organizations, including the International Cost Estimating and Analysis Association, the Project Management Institute, and the American Society of Civil Engineers.

In the past year, IIa was awarded a major multi-year contract with the US Patent and Trademark Office, within the US Department of Commerce, to provide a wide range of Information Technology (IT) support. Other current customers in the Capital Region include the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, the Defense Technical Information Center, and the Environmental Protection Agency.
