The President of the Government Group, Alan Parker, will be relocating to Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
OAK RIDGE – EnergySolutions, Inc. (NYSE:ES) announced that it will be locating the center of its Government Group operations to Oak Ridge, TN. As part of this organizational change, Alan Parker, President of the Government Group, and his wife Marla will be relocating to Oak Ridge area.
Under the organizational structure, Mr. Parker will be responsible for all of the Company’s work with the federal government. He will also be the lead representative for the Company in the Oak Ridge and Knoxville areas as well as around the State of Tennessee.

Mr. Parker was appointed President of the Government Group on March 30, 2010. Prior to this appointment, Alan spent the past two years in the UK as the Chief Operating Officer for EnergySolutions’ International Group. Mr. Parker joined EnergySolutions in November 2006 as the company’s Chief Operating Officer.
Mr. Parker’s has extensive experience in the DOE environmental cleanup complex including leading the clean-up at the Idaho National Laboratory and the Rocky Flats Colorado complex one of the nation’s most successful clean-up projects. Alan received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mining Engineering from the University of Idaho.
EnergySolutions has a significant presence in Tennessee with over 600 employees statewide. The Company has several facilities in the Oak Ridge area, including the Bear Creek Processing Facility.
