Free Immersive STEM Program for Students in grades 6-8 at Roane State Community College
CROSSVILLE + OAK RIDGE, TN– (May 4, 2022) Roane State Community College is partnering with Verizon and the National Association for Community College Entrepreneurship (NACCE) to offer a free project-based STEM learning program, Verizon Innovative Learning STEM Achievers, for middle school students starting with the first session on June 6th through June 23rd on the Oak Ridge campus and another session from July 11th through July 28th on the Crossville campus.

DOE Accepting Public Comments & Hosting Meeting for EMDF Project

UCOR Increases STEM Mini-Grants for Area Schools to $40,000
In recognition of National Teacher Appreciation Week, UCOR announces it has added $10,000 to the company’s 2022 Mini-Grants program. This year’s $40,000 funds 38 science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) projects in 28 regional schools.
Nelson-Jean Shares Opportunities, Encouragement With Students in Oak Ridge
Students from various colleges and universities, some nearly 300 miles away, had come to tour cleanup sites and meet Nicole Nelson-Jean, EM’s associate principal deputy assistant secretary for field operations. Nelson-Jean was at Oak Ridge to discuss a major funding boost to EM’s Minority Serving Institutions Partnership Program (MSIPP).
