Casual Pint will host Pint of Science to allow scientists to present research
The Pint of Science Festival will be held at The Casual Pint May 23-25. The event gives residents to hear scientific research in a relaxed atmosphere. Scientists will discuss neuroscience, supercomputing, 3D printing, brewing science, hepetology and more at the global festival.
“The mission of the Pint of Science organization is to make science accessible to everyone,” said Alan Knauth, owner of The Casual Pint of Downtown and sponsor of the event. “It provides scientists with an opportunity to share their work with the general public, and allows the public to ask questions directly of those on the front lines of groundbreaking research.”
Speakers will talk at Saw Works Brewing Company, Crafty Bastard Brewery and Last Days of Autumn Brewing Company from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tickets are available on the Pint of Science website and cost $5 per night. Attendees can receive shuttle rides from each venue by Knox Brew Tours for $5. The shuttle rides will be from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
