Senior Director, Global Security & Strategic Partnerships
Consolidated Nuclear Security, LLC
Morris Hassler serves as the senior director of Global Security & Strategic Partnerships (GSSP) for Consolidated Nuclear Security, LLC, which is responsible for the management and operation of the Pantex Plant in Amarillo, Texas, and the Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. In this role, he is responsible for the program management of broader national security missions beyond Defense Programs at both sites.
GSSP includes nuclear nonproliferation, counterterrorism, emergency response, nuclear fuel development and supply, specialized manufacturing, and technical services. GSSP’s customers include the National Nuclear Security Administration, other Department of Energy offices, and programs involving strategic partners in other federal agencies as well as commercial and non-profit partners.
Hassler has worked in the nuclear field since 1991, gaining a wide range of experience and an in-depth understanding of the commercial and military nuclear material supply chains, international and domestic nuclear security and nonproliferation programs, research reactor and isotope production nuclear fuel cycles, and special nuclear material removal/ storage/disposition initiatives.
Hassler holds a B.S. in industrial technology and an M.B.A. from Tennessee Technological University as well as an M.S. in industrial and systems engineering from the University of Tennessee.
He is certified as a project management professional by the Project Management Institute. He is active in the Institute of Nuclear Materials Management, serving as chair of the Facility Operations Division. Hassler also is an active member and the American Nuclear Society, currently serving on the executive committee of the Nuclear Nonproliferation Policy Division.
