As VP for Emerging Markets & Innovation, Tom Drye’s responsibilities include: evaluating, resourcing, and forward strategy setting of new market segments. Launching and guiding Techmer leadership in the Additive Manufacturing (3D) business. Particular focus on the emerging field of Large Part Additive Mfg and its need for innovative high-end engineering grade plastic materials and compounds. Collaboration with Federal Government (Dept of Energy; DOE) and private industry initiatives. Analyze market needs, develop custom solutions, and communicate with targeted industries.
Tom leads the engineered compounds business and applications development team and is a member of Techmer Executive Leadership Team. He is on the National Science Foundation Advisory Committee for large scale additive manufacturing and Chairman of IACMI’s Business Viability Committee. Tom has over 30 years in the plastics compounding business.
