ETEC Meeting: Tim Young, RelaPhi

Mr. Tim Young is the Chief Executive Officer for RelaPhi, LLC which was formed in 2016 when he and another business partner acquired the intellectual property, infrastructure, patents, copyright, and clients of a General Talent, which was a research and development organization completing two decades of research, field studies, inventions, principles, and frameworks. This body of work encompasses all aspects of the relationships and optimization of this thing called “work”… workforce strategies, talent stewardship, leadership, recruiting, etc. Tim was a former client as a part of field studies and now leads the organization’s go to market strategies.
Tim formerly was CEO and Founder of Invigor Strategies providing professional consulting services to a number of diverse organizations across the country. Areas of consulting concentration include strategic planning, policy advisory services, talent and workforce strategies, consumer experience, innovation and development, executive coaching, executive team development, health policy, health market reform, Board retreats, etc.
He has a strong point of view (speaking out nationally with regularity) on the present crisis in healthcare financing policy and believes that only a “re-designed” model placing consumers as the central core provides any hope for a resolution of the free market.
Tim was formerly the CEO of Summit Medical Group, the region’s largest independent physician practice with over 225 physicians and 113 mid-level providers at over 53 locations throughout 13 East Tennessee Counties. Summit also operates the region’s only Accountable Care Organization and is currently the 3rd largest Patient Centered Medical Home in the nation.
Additionally, under Tim’s leadership, Summit was recognized as a national leader in areas of strategic planning, clinical quality, innovation, pay for performance, value based care, risk management strategies, physician leadership, and medical practice management.
He completed both his undergraduate and graduate degrees at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. He is a Certified Medical Practice Executive (CMPE) from the American College of Medical Practice Executives. He also holds certification and licensure as a Medical Technologist from the American College of Clinical Pathology (ASCP). He speaks nationally to audiences in the areas of health reform, health policy, strategic planning, and physician strategies. Additional speaker on workforce strategies and the future of work.
Tim is an active member of Medial Group Management Association, American Public Health Association, and Healthcare Financial Management Association, and a number of other professional associations. He also is very active with a number of community organizations and currently serves on the governing boards of four area non-profits. He is also a certified community facilitator and frequently assists area organizations (government bodies and non-profits) in areas of strategic planning and performance and a host of other contexts.
He has won numerous business and community awards and is regularly cited in national publications.
