Robert M. Szozda, Sr.

North Wind Group
Mr. Szozda is the North Wind Group’s Southeast Regional Manager and brings 29 years of experience in the environmental and nuclear field Rob has served in several roles in the East Tennessee area including Chief Operating Officer, Vice President of Operations and he has managed several highly complex projects.
Rob has been North Wind’s Technical Services Manager working at the Transuranic (TRU) Waste Processing Center (TWPC) site from 2015 – 2018. As Technical services manager at TWPC, Rob’s primary responsibilities included management of Site Security, Nuclear Safety, Engineering, Nuclear Criticality Safety, Maintenance, Waste Processing Oversite Interface, Facility Management and Conduct of Operations for a Category II Nuclear Site/Facility.
He has lead 14 successful operational readiness reviews and readiness assessments for various projects in Oak Ridge, TN. Rob’s bring diverse experience in operations, construction, engineering, decommissioning, remediation, and demolition. He has extensive experience in optimizing corporate functional areas to include – Health and Safety, Contracts/Legal, Finance, Marketing/Proposals, Quality Assurance, Engineering, Procurement and Operations. Rob has also established working and regulatory compliant programs and processes for complex nuclear operations, nuclear and chemical treatment processes, and high radiological activity remediation projects.
