Assistant Special Agent in Charge Louis Kuykendall has been with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation for over Twenty Nine years. He has worked as both a Forensic Scientist and a Criminal Investigator. His undergraduate work was in Biochemistry at Tennessee Tech University and his graduate work has been in Chemistry at Middle Tennessee State University and in Public Service Management at Cumberland University. ASAC Kuykendall’s duties have included Forensic Toxicology, Meth-Lab Processing, Crime Scene Investigations, Charitable Gaming investigations, Firearms Instructor, Defensive Tactics Instructor, Dignitary Protection, Field Investigations, Fugitive Investigations, and supervising the Criminal Intelligence Unit. In 2014, he began to manage a portion of the Tennessee Fusion Center, overseeing the Amber Alert program, the TBI Top Ten program, Gang Intelligence, and the Consolidated Records Management System (CRMS). He has taught in statewide seminars on many of these subjects. ASAC Kuykendall is currently over the TBI Top Ten Fugitive program, TBI Gang Intelligence initiatives, Social Media Analysis, and the CRMS program. ASAC Kuykendall worked as a Special Deputy U. S. Marshal for over ten years on the U. S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force and supervises agents assigned to federal task forces as well.
