James Taylor is the Executive Vice President and General Manager of Nuclear and Environment for AECOM’s Management Services Group. He oversees day-to-day operations; manages profit and loss, strategic initiatives and business development; and oversees administrative and operations support functions. He has management responsibility for work with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and the U.K. Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) encompassing the management and operation of complex nuclear and chemical sites, project management at high-hazard facilities, safety management, nuclear component fabrication, nuclear material management/treatment, and technology development.

Mr. Taylor has 27 years of experience in global business development, consulting, operations management, process engineering, and project management in nuclear operations, facility decontamination and decommissioning, environmental remediation, and waste management.

Prior to his current position, Mr. Taylor was Senior Vice President of Business Development for URS’ Global Management & Operations Services Group (N&E’s heritage organization) and provided overall leadership in the pursuit of new business, capture strategies, teaming, and proposal preparation for the Group. He was responsible for URS’ work in the DOE Environmental Management market and played a significant role in the expansion of the Company’s work for DOE and the NDA, helping URS win contacts in these markets worth more than $45 billion.

Mr. Taylor also supported business development and the associated growth of the URS Professional Solutions organization. Under his leadership, the organization grew by more than 20 percent annually.

Prior to joining URS, Mr. Taylor worked for Starmet CMI and ALARON Corporation, where he was responsible for business development, marketing and sales.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of South Carolina.
