ETEC Meeting: George Thomas & Sheila Gibson, Education Equal Opportunities Group (EEOG)
January 13, 2017 @ 7:30 am - 8:30 am
George Thomas is the Founder and President of the Education Equal Opportunity Group (EEOG), an 501c(3) organization. Our mission is providing inspiration and resources to students needing life’s essentials. We exist to create positive pathways for low income students to succeed in school and in life. We execute this by exposing students to prominent individuals and experiences that will help change their trajectories. Ultimately, our students have a great opportunity to learn what it’s like to be coached and inspired by top business leaders, entrepreneurs and political power-brokers, which they can emulate. For more than 15 years, the EEOG has provided character, leadership and personal development training to over 12,000 rural and urban high school students in Tennessee.
