ETEC Meeting: Bradley Jackson, TN Chamber of Commerce

Bradley Jackson currently serves as Interim President for the Tennessee Chamber of Commerce & Industry and the Tennessee Manufacturers Association.  Prior to this role, Jackson served as the Chamber’s Vice President for Government Relations and Community Affairs leading all aspects of the Chamber’s lobbying and outreach efforts on the Hill.   Bradley comes to the Chamber having a substantial relationships and knowledge of all levels of State Government.

Jackson began his career as a research analyst for the powerful Senate and House FW&M committee whose primary responsibility was Legislative research publications, analysis of state departments and agencies and appropriations for the Committee.  Jackson’s next roles shifted to the executive branch where he headed up legislative operations for the Tennessee Department of Financial Institutions, which is responsible for the regulation of all state banks, credit unions and financial institutions. He later worked in the Governor’s office in the State Capitol where he managed the implementation of various state government initiatives.  While with the Chamber, Bradley has worked at the forefront of many business initiatives, developing strategy and shepherding them successfully through the General Assembly in the areas of tort reform, workers’ compensation, taxation, business regulatory issues, infrastructure, economic development policy, and environmental and energy policy. Jackson is a native of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee and graduated from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville.

About the Tennessee Chamber of Commerce & Industry and the Tennessee Manufacturers Association:  Founded in 1912, the Tennessee Chamber is one of Tennessee’s oldest and largest statewide business lobbying advocacy associations.  The Tennessee Chamber maintains business memberships of some of Tennessee’s most prominent companies across the entire state. The primary focus of the State Chamber is policy development and lobbying in the State Capitol to ensure Tennessee is a top state for business growth and development. The Tennessee Chamber is the Tennessee affiliate for a number of powerful groups that include the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, National Association of Manufacturers, and the American Chemistry Council. The Chamber is affiliated with the Tennessee Chamber of Commerce Executives and the Tennessee Economic Development Council which connects local business and chambers to grassroots advocacy efforts to impact state policy.
