Now in its 19th year, the annual Energy Technology and Environmental Business Association (ETEBA)’s Business Opportunities and Technical Conference (BOTC) packs a wealth of information, networking and fun into three days of first-rate programs and activities. Each year more than 400 participants gather to learn about upcoming opportunities with prime contractors and government procurement officials in the energy, environmental and defense markets, and to build contacts and relationships with key decision makers, teaming partners, and potential clients.
The conference also provides an excellent forum for company to promote their capabilities, products and services, and it offers technical presentations and training opportunities for technical and managerial staff to learn about project successes and the latest in technical and project management advances.
This year’s Business Opportunities & Technical Conference will include 7 panels:
Panel One: Update on Opportunities with DOE EM, NNSA and Recently Awarded Contracts
Panel Two: Opportunities in the Canadian Nuclear Market
Panel Three: Technology Transfer, Entrepreneurial Opportunities, and Venture Capital/ Investment Environment
Panel Four: Opportunities with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA)
Panel Five: Opportunities at the Hanford Site
Panel Six: Opportunities in the U.S. Power Sector
Panel Seven: EM Update and Opportunities in the U.S. Power Sector
In addition to the Opportunities Panels, ETEBA will also host 8 Technical Sessions and 2 Workshops.

2nd Annual Student Internship and Job Fair: 2:00-4:00 p.m.
The goal for the conference is to offer a program that appeals to a broad range of technical, management, and business development professionals. Accordingly, the Conference will be structured around three tracks – Business Opportunities, Training, and Technical. The Business Opportunities track will follow a similar format to past years with panel and technical sessions featuring outstanding speakers who will focus on current business trends, issues and opportunities.
The Training track will offer professionals the opportunity to learn about a range of topics that are relevant to today’s business environment. The Technical track will feature presentations by both technical professionals and students that showcase specialized technical expertise, unique technological advances, and project success stories.

We will also be hosting the 2nd Annual Student Internship and Job Fair during the BOTC which will offer students in STEM curricula from colleges and universities in the region the opportunity to meet with member companies. Promising young student engineers from these departments will be attending and participating in the conference Thursday, October 4th. A select few will present on technical topics of concern in today’s energy market, and there will be opportunities for participating companies to meet with students to discuss internship and job opportunities.
We will also once again host our scholarship golf tournament Tuesday, October 2nd which will include scholarship fundraising for Universities in TN and NM. If you are interested in opportunities for students be sure to sign up for all
of these activities and sign up to host a table at the Student Internship and Job Fair at no additional cost.
The BOTC also offers lively evening receptions in the Exhibit Hall that will give participants the opportunity to network, meet potential clients and teaming partners, re-connect with old friends, and win door prizes while enjoying great food and entertainment. A reception sponsorship is also available to feature your business in a big way. Help us bring back the popular Casino Night for our Opening reception and receive multiple recognitions throughout the conference.
The Energy Technology and Environmental Business Association (ETEBA) is a non-profit trade association representing approximately 170 corporate and affiliate members including small, mid-sized, and large companies that provide environmental, technological, energy, engineering, management, construction, and related services to government and commercial clients.
Originally established in 1989 as the Oak Ridge Waste Management Association, ETEBA’s mission is to promote the success of our members by fostering market understanding, identifying business opportunities, and advocating for our common interests. ETEBA offers timely information about business opportunities and developments in government and commercial markets; provides networking opportunities with key decision makers, potential customers and teaming partners; and conducts advocacy and community outreach activities that present the collective voice of the membership. ETEBA has Eastern and Western Chapters and is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors.
