DOE: Global Clean Energy Action Forum
September 22 - September 23
The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is partnering with Carnegie Mellon University to host the world’s premier international clean energy event bringing together ministers, business leaders, investors, and the broader energy ecosystem to accelerate global clean energy deployment and innovation. The event will be held September 21-23 in Pittsburgh, PA.
The DOE Loan Programs Office (LPO) and Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations (OCED) are leading the coordination of the GCEAF Business Forums on Thursday and Friday (Sept 22-23). There will be 12 technology-specific rooms featuring panels and programming with leaders from across sectors. The Forum’s goal is to have an open dialogue on building momentum toward $100+ billion in private capital formation for the technologies needed to decarbonize the global economy in the coming decades. After the Business Forum, there will be a plenary session featuring Secretary Granholm, among other global energy leaders.
