The American Museum of Science and Energy in Oak Ridge, Tennessee is moving to newer quarters in Main Street Oak Ridge, so while many items are moving, others must be sold! This is a once in a lifetime event you will not want to miss!
- Thursday, September 6, 4 to 7 p.m.
- Friday, September 7, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Saturday, September 8, 10am to 1 p.m.
LOCATION: 300 South Tulane Avenue, Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
No museum artifacts/collections are being sold in this sale. But don’t be disappointed, there is plenty to sell in this massive building!
We are offering replicas of historic photos of the beginnings of the Manhattan Project to present day, science displays, an old Coca-Cola machine (just the front, but cool), a gigantic blow up dinosaur (includes blower) that can be filled with helium for parades, a bigger-than-life face of Albert Einstein, a round neon “Atomic Theater” sign with an atom in the middle, cartoonish superheroes painted on Plexiglas used in displays, backdrops, many flat-screen TVs, showcases, larger-than-life canvas framed posters that are groovy cool, large speakers, small speakers, electronics, washer, dryer, refrigerator, 6′ tables, stackable chairs, shelving galore, sofas, lawn mowers, tables, desk cubicles, tools, construction barrels, air compressors and much, much more!
A large portion of the proceeds will benefit the AMSE Foundation, which will continue the work of this wonderful museum for years to come in its new location. Come and celebrate the history of Oak Ridge and the successful future of this great museum!
