Advanced Manufacturing & Nuclear Supply Chain Development Conference 9/12/13 and NIC M-SC WG Meeting 9/13/16
September 12, 2016 - September 13, 2016
The U.S. Nuclear Infrastructure Council and the Make it in America program have organized a one-day conference to discuss the advanced manufacturing and other capabilities desired by companies who design, build and maintain nuclear power plants. Information from this conference will be invaluable to those who provide or want to provide components to the nuclear supply chain. This conference will be held on Monday, September 12th in St. Louis.
Workshop participants will hear from presenters who actually buy parts for nuclear components or sell to those companies, as well as resources to help meet any necessary qualifications. Presenters represent the following types of companies and organizations.
- Nuclear reactor manufacturers (Westinghouse, NuScale Power)
- Nuclear power plant operating utilities
- Nuclear power plant EPC firms (engineering, procurement, and construction)
- Major component manufacturers
- Small company suppliers
- U.S. Nuclear Infrastructure Council (NIC)
- American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
- U.S. Department of Commerce International Trade Administration
