Update: Fusion Innovation Forum

At yesterday's Fusion Innovation Forum 85 people from seven countries gathered virtually to discuss fusion energy. Hosted by ETEC and the Fusion Industry Association, the half-day event featured a variety of speakers from both the public sector and private industry. Topics ranged from research and development, private industry views, and issues from a utility’s perspective including regulatory and public policy factors.

It was noted that fusion has attracted more than $2B in venture capital which shows the promise of fusion is being recognized broadly. As was reiterated multiple times yesterday, 'fusion is much closer than we think.' Thank you again to the event sponsors: US ITER, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, and the University of Tennessee Department of Nuclear Engineering.
