DOE Accepting Public Comments & Hosting Meeting for EMDF Project

A public meeting will be held to learn more about the proposed onsite disposal facility on the Oak Ridge Reservation, 6:00–8:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at Pollard Technology Conference Center, 210 Badger Ave, Oak Ridge, Tenn. 37830.

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC) are hosting this public meeting to provide information and answer questions about a proposed onsite disposal facility to aid DOE’s environmental cleanup on the Oak Ridge Reservation. Three new fact sheets are available that provide additional details about the project that were not available during the previous public meetings. These fact sheets, and other related documents about the disposal facility, are available at https://ucor.com/additional-emdf-information/.
