Rich Tighe Appointed CNS President and CEO

Richard “Rich” Tighe became president and chief executive officer for Consolidated Nuclear Security effective Tuesday, September 6, 2022. He replaces Gene Sievers, who had served as CNS’s acting president and CEO since July.

NNSA Breaks Ground on Security Project at Y-12

NNSA this week held the groundbreaking of the multiyear Security Infrastructure Revitalization Program at the Y-12 National Security Complex in Tennessee. The project will replace a portion of the existing perimeter intrusion detection and assessment system, known as PIDAS, and upgrade other security features.

Y-12 and LLNL Partner to Accelerate Production, Innovation for U.S. Nuclear Deterrent

NNSA Releases FY 2022 Stockpile Stewardship and Management Plan Report

Today, the Department of Energy’s National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) is releasing the Fiscal Year 2022 Stockpile Stewardship and Management Plan (FY 2022 SSMP).
