SkyNano, Knoxville Startup Named Finalist for Elon Musk’s $100M Tech Prize

Knoxville startup SkyNano has been named a finalist for Tesla founder Elon Musk’s $100 million XPRIZE Carbon Removal prize. SkyNano will find out Friday if it is one of 15 winners to take home a $1 million prize in the Milestone Award category, which recognizes the most promising concepts to pull carbon pollution out of Earth’s atmosphere.

IACMI Names Dale Brosius as Interim CEO

KNOXVILLE, Tennessee (March 31, 2022) The Institute for Advanced Composites Manufacturing InnovationÒ (IACMI) today announced Dale Brosius has been appointed interim chief executive officer effective April 1, 2022. Brosius will lead IACMI as it identifies a permanent CEO to succeed Dr. John Hopkins, who is stepping down after leading the organization for more than four years. IACMI is one of 16 Manufacturing USA innovation institutes created to secure U.S. global leadership in advanced manufacturing through large scale public-private collaboration on technology, supply chain and workforce development.

Launch Tennessee Selects Lindsey Cox as its Next CEO
