ETEC’s Industry Capability Showcase
An industry-specific event allowing ETEC members to show fellow members, local Department of Energy (DOE) and its contractors, and the community at large how best to utilize their local business talent, products, and capabilities.
Purpose
The purpose of these events are to provide ETEC Members with the opportunity to:
- Learn more about each other and make new contacts in the industry
- Build relationships promoting a business-to-business atmosphere
- Present options for future teaming on proposals
- Give entities like DOE a source for future contractors and suppliers
- Show current contractors and their sub-contractors options for doing business within the region
Participation
There are 2 ways to participate:
- Attend: Invited to attend the event will be ETEC members, DOE and contractor small business office representatives, and the general business community.
- Present/Exhibit: Present: 10-minute presentation or product demonstration. An ETEC member company representative has 10 minutes to demonstrate a product or go into more detail about their services. This can include up to 5 slides. Exhibit: An ETEC member company can reserve a table. These will be placed around the sides and back of the room for networking. 10 member companies can participate. Details
Notes: Only companies from a specific industry will be presenting. Because this is a connecting event it will be held in-person only and may be recorded. Snacks and drinks will be provided. There is no charge for general attendees. For presenters and exhibitors, see below.
Presenters /Exhibitors:
Presenter RSVP: Members in the industry will be invited to participate. They will be sent information and a link to reserve their spot.
Cost: There will be a fee of $50 for each company wanting to present and reserve an exhibit table.
Presenters: Presentation time constraints will be strictly adhered to. Companies must submit all slides (up to 5) in a MICROSOFT POWERPOINT format by 3:00 pm on Thursday, prior to the Tuesday event. Slides must be received by then in order to be shown during the event.
Exhibitor/Vendors: 1 6’x2’ table and 1 chair will be provided. Companies can bring their own tablecloth, 1 pop-up banner, and a few items to set on your table. There will not be room for large displays or bulky items.
Cancellations: Please try not to cancel, if you need to, please give us as much notice as possible, so your spot can be filled. This is a limited opportunity. There will not be an option to reschedule.
Future Events: If this event is continued to be well received, more industries represented in the ETEC membership could be featured. A survey will be distributed afterwards to determine the future of this series and how best to organize the industries to be represented.
2025 Event Recap: Construction & Equipment Industry
The second Industry Capability Showcase was held Tuesday, June 3, 2025 from 8:30 am - 12:00 pm in the UT Outreach Center.
Ten ETEC member companies in the Construction & Equipment industry showcased their products & capabilities at an event designed for learning and member connection.
New for this year's event was a $100 gift card giveaway happened at noon. Those who attended the event were eligible.
