ETEC 2022 Award Nominations

ETEC is now accepting nominations for the 2022 Muddy Boot Award and Postma Young Professional Medal. Click here to learn more about the awards and here to learn about the nomination process. Nominations will be taken until September 23, 2022. The Awards will be presented at the ETEC Annual Meeting on December 15, 2022.

Last Friday during our Featured Fridays with the ETEC Board meeting Rick Yakubic, Executive Director for the East Tennessee Economic Development District (ETDD) presented their Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy” (CEDS) for the region. The report is now available (click here) to view and open for public comment during a 30-day period that began August 10. Please send comments to Tim Hendrick.

CEDS Background: Over the past six months, ETDD partnered with the Tennessee Valley Authority, University of Tennessee System, University of Tennessee-Knoxville, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, and others to engage local communities and develop a Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy for the region.
