The meeting will be held in the UT Outreach Center in Oak Ridge, TN at 1201 Oak Ridge Turnpike, in the back corner of the building. The entrance to the Outreach Center faces Applebee's and the Quality Inn.

Masks Required for In-Person Attendees

ETEC chooses to follow recommendations set by the CDC and because ETEC meets in a University of Tennessee facility, we need to follow UT protocol. The University has asked that masks be worn in all classrooms, laboratories, instructional spaces, and at any indoor event. If you plan to attend in person on Friday, please bring your mask.

Y-12 Interns Major in Summertime Learning

This article features 3 of the 51 CNS interns, who hail from 13 states and 25 colleges. Y‑12 hosts 36 interns, and Pantex 15. With an almost 50/50 split among male and female participants, the majority of interns, are engineering majors, followed by computer science degree seekers.

UTC Center for Urban Informatics and Progress Awarded NSF Grant

The funds will create “Smart Corridor+” along a section of the existing M.L. King Boulevard Smart Corridor, a 1.2-mile stretch in downtown Chattanooga used by CUIP to study traffic flow, public safety and transportation, environmental impacts and other quality-of-life issues.

According to the report, the Volunteer State placed #7 in terms of business environment which was weighted at 50% of the total points awarded. The other two categories each accounted for 25% of the total. Tennessee placed #16 in terms of business costs, but #39 in access to resources.
