Today, DOE announced a $20 million investment in the University of Tennessee to advance workforce development in emerging energy fields. Nuclear Power System Delivered for Mars Rover Launch

DOE has delivered the nuclear power system for the Perseverance rover for NASA's Mars 2020 mission which is due to launch next month. The Multi-Mission Radioisotope Thermoelectric Generator (MMRTG) was fuelled, built and tested by DOE's national laboratories.

Another Teardown on Path to Vision 2020

OREM has conducted large-scale demolition at ETTP for nearly 15 years. One facility recently demolished had supported demolition work over the years. Crews took down K-2500-H. Contaminated equipment, piping, and other items generated by demolition projects were sent to the facility to be prepared for shipment for disposal.
